The Opportunity
Regain, Inc. is applying for the ARPA-H ADVOCATE Program—a $50M+ initiative to create the first FDA-authorized agentic AI for cardiovascular care.
The Problem: 46% of US counties lack a cardiologist. 200,000+ Americans die annually from preventable cardiovascular disease.
Our Advantage: Unlike teams proposing to build, we have working software:
- Deutsch (TA1): Clinical CVD agent — 100% core complete
- Popper (TA2): Supervisory safety agent — 100% complete
- Demo ready NOW — software, not slides
We are seeking a Clinical Lead to validate this architecture—a cardiologist who can bridge academic medicine, digital health innovation, and FDA regulatory strategy.
Your Role
As Clinical Lead, you'll serve as Key Personnel on the federal grant while maintaining your practice:
Immediate (Feb 2026)
- Review and validate clinical sections of the solution summary
- Provide credibility for ARPA-H reviewers
- Time commitment: 4–6 hours/week through February 27
Post-Award (if funded)
- Validate Deutsch treatment recommendations against GDMT standards
- Define safety guardrails translating ACC/AHA Guidelines into immutable logic
- Participate in FDA meetings (Pre-Sub, 513(g), Breakthrough Device Designation)
- Serve as PI for Scalability Studies (TA3)
- Time commitment: 12–16 hours/week (0.3–0.4 FTE)
Requirements
Must-Have (Non-Negotiable)
- MD/DO with active US medical license
- Board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease (ABIM/AOBIM)
- 5+ years practicing cardiology
- Available to commit 4–6 hours/week through Feb 27, then 12–16 hours/week if awarded
Strongly Preferred
- FACC designation
- Heart failure or preventive cardiology subspecialty
- Digital health or health tech advisory experience
- FDA regulatory experience (any submission type)
- Academic medical center affiliation
Nice-to-Have
- Prior CMO/Medical Director role
- Publications in AI/digital health
- Remote monitoring program leadership
